Ukadelix Are Coming To Lode Fest

All the way from London, we're thrilled to welcome The Ukadelix to Lode Fest 2021.

The Ukadelix is an all female London based 5-piece band.  Playing original songs & covers with their own brand of unique arrangements.  The Ukadelix is known for their lovely harmonies and fun shows filled with lots of toe-tapping tunes.

The eclectic selection of songs they play is reflected in the range of instruments played by this all singing group.  Ukulele, drums and percussion, bass guitar, harmonica, accordion and melodica.  And the songs themselves range from newly penned originals to quirky reworkings of 1920s songs – so there's bound to be something in their set for everyone.  Unusually they all take turns to lead the vocals on their songs showcasing their individuality in a truly democratic way.

The band has been together since 2014 and released their debut album 'The Ukadelix' in June this year.

In July one reviewer said of the band's gig in Deptford:  “The Ukadelix – five gracious and talented ladies 'of a certain age' who are classy, quirky, sometimes risque and raunchy – even in their material,  and oh so enjoyably entertaining.”

During Lockdown 2020 the band released a lockdown video of self-penned song 'Wasted' and filmed in individual segments to highlight the plight of artists and muscians – especially older women – who had lost all their performance work, and who felt wasted and forgotten – the video was really well received  – you can view it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5odNKBDF8Fs
